ACs, TVs, refrigerators and washing machines are set to get more expensive just ahead of Diwali. Leading brands including LG, Daikin, Voltas, Godrej, Havells, Bosch and Samsung have announced price increases of up to 10% from October 1, citing rising raw-material, logistics and energy costs. For some categories, cumulative price hikes have reached 16-18% since January. Copper, steel, aluminium and resin prices have all risen sharply this year. With Navratri and Diwali being the biggest shopping period for consumer electronics, the latest hikes could impact festive demand and household budgets.
