Chennai Property Tax: Why some owners are getting higher revised tax demand notices

GCC Commissioner G S Sameeran said on August 12 that property tax rates have not been increased in the Greater Chennai Corporation. Revised notices were issued only to property owners and commercial establishments whose properties were found to have been under-assessed or assessed incorrectly.
