Cyril Ramaphosa Invites PM Modi To South Africa Next Year, Praises India’s Tech And Space Progress

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa described his bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as highly positive and said both leaders reviewed the special and strategic relationship between India and South Africa. Ramaphosa invited PM Modi to visit South Africa next year, possibly around Nelson Mandela’s birth anniversary, to celebrate the strategic partnership between the two countries. He said the leaders also discussed the Gandhi-Mandela scholarship, trade, investment and ways to deepen economic ties. Ramaphosa congratulated India on its achievements in space exploration and praised the country’s growing leadership in technology and the developing world. He said South Africa has much to learn from India and described the meeting with PM Modi as a very good bilateral engagement.
