Gold, silver ETFs get a new vaulting framework: SEBI raises vault managers' net worth requirement

SEBI has approved a new vaulting framework covering bullion underlying gold and silver ETFs and other specified bullion-related instruments, expanding beyond the existing EGR-focused regime. The regulator will also raise the minimum net worth requirement for vault managers from ₹50 crore to ₹75 crore and strengthen safeguards around storage, security, insurance and reconciliation.
