India Inc Growth Story Is Real: Anant Goenka On Demand, GST 2.0 And Global Opportunities

Anant Goenka, Vice Chairman of RPG Group and President, FICCI, says India Inc is witnessing stronger growth across manufacturing, auto, infrastructure and related sectors. Speaking at the India Today BRICS Roundtable, Goenka says the demand uplift following GST 2.0 has pushed growth in his businesses from around 8–11% to nearly 15–16%. While higher commodity prices are putting pressure on margins, he sees broad-based growth continuing. Goenka also believes Indian businesses need to become more ambitious globally. He shares how RPG’s tyre business expanded overseas by understanding local customer needs, building focused sales strategies and innovating for individual markets.
