Prime Minister Narendra Modi says he has always been a person driven by mission, not ambition. Reflecting on his political journey, Modi said he never entered politics with a desire to seek electoral fame or build a personal career. He recalled that while he had worked to fight elections and received organisational responsibilities, he himself did not contest an election for a long time. Modi said he never focused on what he would become or what his future would hold. Instead, he credited his early upbringing for teaching him to live for a larger mission.
