Nandan Nilekani's Big Proposal on NEET Leaks and Computer-Based Exams

How can India tackle the NEET paper leak issue and strengthen the examination system? Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani has outlined a technology-driven approach at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum. He argues that generating question papers at the last minute from a massive question bank could reduce the economic incentive to leak a fixed paper. Nilekani also called for expanding computer-based testing, highlighting the need for a wider network of examination centres across the country. He noted that around 150,000 locations are available for candidates to take tests and said this network needs to grow. Describing exam leaks as a systemic challenge, Nilekani said these issues would be addressed by the committee, adding that the Prime Minister is keen to implement its decisions.
