NTA Plans CBT for NEET as Testing Agency Moves Towards Fully Computer-Based Exams

The National Testing Agency is preparing to move NEET to the Computer-Based Test format, NTA Director General Abhishek Singh has said. He stated that all major NTA examinations, except NEET, are already conducted in CBT mode. The Nandan Nilekani-led high-powered task force is currently working on the transition, including expansion of testing infrastructure and stronger safeguards. Exams such as JEE, UGC-NET, CUET and NIFT are already computer-based. Singh said CBT is the future and indicated that all NTA examinations are expected to move to this format in the coming days.
