PFRDA targets 35-40 crore NPS subscribers in 5 years from 90 lakh, plans digital push to expand pension coverage

PFRDA is targeting 35–40 crore non-government NPS subscribers in five years, up from around 90 lakh currently. The pension regulator plans to use digital onboarding, mutual fund distributors and new pension funds to accelerate NPS adoption.
