US core inflation comes in subdued, easing pressure on Fed: Report

The consumer price index excluding food and energy rose 0.2% in July from the previous month, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released on Wednesday. On an annual basis, core CPI increased 2.5%, matching its slowest pace since March 2021.
