'Viksit Bharat Very Much In Realm Of Realisation': Shaktikanta Das

India is witnessing a manufacturing resurgence, with schemes such as the Production-Linked Incentive Scheme, PM MITRA and Skill India strengthening the country’s industrial ecosystem. Speaking at the Kautilya Economic Conclave 2026, Shaktikanta Das highlighted India’s growing manufacturing capabilities, noting that the country has become the world’s second-largest mobile phone manufacturer. He also pointed to the rapid entry of semiconductors into India’s manufacturing landscape, along with rising investments in automation, robotics and Industry 4.0 technologies. Das said India stands at a pivotal moment in its development journey, with a focus on capitalising on emerging opportunities. He added that a leap towards Viksit Bharat 2047 is “very much in the realm of realization.”
